We executed a full retained search campaign. We fully market mapped all European-based and American biotechs with a European entity who were in the paediatric epilepsy space. This allowed Zogenix to fully understand the candidate landscape against their desired skill set and education background. Discreet and confidential approaches were made to the target candidates. A broad outline of the post was given and general levels of suitability and interest were established.

Through a series of confidential discussions and further research, detailed profiles were built on each candidate to select those with relevant skills and experience who displayed genuine interest in the role.

A list of target candidates was presented to Zogenix for approval before our undertaking first round interviews. We used competency-based interview techniques, designed to ensure that both the technical and personal aspects of the job specification were satisfied. A shortlist of the three best qualified candidates was presented to Zogenix together with their full resumes and interview notes.

We arranged first interviews between the shortlisted individuals and Zogenix, ensuring that all candidates were fully briefed. In this way. we provided them with fully engaged active and passive candidates using our head-hunting methodology.

We also provided assistance in the preparation, delivery, negotiation and acceptance of an offer to the chosen candidate.

Thanks to the way in which this process was executed, it enabled us to foster a stronger relationship with Zogenix and act as their preferred and trusted partner against other senior requirements for their team.
